At the production plant the kelp is first washed with fresh water to void it of any shells or foreign debris.
Then it is selected: our quality control system assures that only the best leaves are processed into KELPGROW.
The kelp then undergoes a progressive particle size reduction, until it is pumped through a 50 mesh filter, assuring that the product shall contain only particles smaller then 300 micron.
This kelp slurry is then blended with organic approved, food grade, microbial inhibitors to extend its shelf life.
From the time of harvest to a preserved product takes no longer then one working day and our temperatures during manufacture never exceed 30°C.
We are very proud of our harvesting and industrial processing technique which makes of KELPGROW a product of the highest quality and consistency, without any significant environmental impact upon the kelp beds themselves.
